Alex Salvi
Anchor/Reporter/Producer​


Alex Salvi is an anchor and on-air correspondent for One America News Network (OANN). As the host and executive producer of the nightly hour-long show “After Hours,” Salvi covers the convergence of media and politics in today’s news environment. Separately, he also covers live events for the network such as election coverage and conducts interviews with politicians and industry experts.

In 2019, Salvi’s work earned five awards from the San Diego Press Club, including: (1) Best Television Breaking News Report for his Midterm Election Coverage; (2) Best Television Breaking News Report for his State of the Union Coverage; (3) Best Online News Feature for his series on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Investigation; (4) Best Specialty Reporting Series covering issues in the gaming world; and (5) Best Live Report for the California Jungle Primaries.

Salvi earned his master's of science in journalism from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, with an emphasis on broadcast and digital media. During his studies he participated in a fellowship program at the European Union in Brussels, Belgium, taking place during the fall of the 2016 Brexit decision. He also contributed to a story for the New York Times that appeared on the front page of the publication's website. 

Before joining OAN, Salvi obtained his law degree where he concentrated on constitutional and international law. His education allowed him to travel to the Middle East where he studied humanitarian law in Israel and the West Bank. He also advanced to the International Court of Justice Moot Court Competition in Mumbai, India, where he debated legal issues surrounding data collection, leaking and cyber-security. It was during law school when he first got involved in journalism, as he was elected editor-in-chief of the Valparaiso Law Blog which acted as a news outlet and watchdog over governance and jurisprudence in the Seventh Circuit Court.

After growing up in the Chicagoland area, Salvi attended DePaul University in the city where he earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree with a major in political science. He was a contributor to the school's newspaper and a member of its advertising club. Salvi also interned for the United States House of Representatives for Congressman Mike Quigley.
